Animals are my passion!!! I've been pet sitting for friends and family for years - and I realized the best part of my day was walking someone's dog on my lunch break or cuddling a kitty. After 20 years in the corporate world I decided it was time for a change, and in August 2011 I started 'Tania's Roaming Rovers'! I can guarantee you that your animals will be treated like my own (loved, safe, and a bit spoiled).
I have been an animal lover my whole life and and have been lucky enough to share my life with rescue/special needs dogs for over 25 years. I am currently mom to two rescue dogs - Molly is a 11-ish Bichon/Poodle mix, and Barney is our 8 year old Malti-Poo. Our almost 16 year old Bichon, Quincy, passed away in March 2012 and is dearly missed.
I have a soft spot for older animals and understand that they may have special needs. I have had dogs with epilepsy, dementia, and limited mobility and made sure they had a safe and loving environment they could thrive in. Quincy even developed a love for road trips and hiking at 13 (he's the one in the backpack below)!
Over the years my husband and I have traveled with the 'kids' through 7 states, 2 countries, and one island - they especially enjoy climbing the soft red rocks in Sedona and the exciting smells of the rainforest in the Pacific NorthWest.
I am a member of Pet Sitters International and a contributor to the San Diego Humane Society and Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS). In October 2011 I became Pet First Aid Certified through the Red Cross.
